MAIN CAST – 4th to 8th

Open to all Roy Cloud School students in grades 4-8. Everyone who registers will be cast.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

6th-8th: 1 minute monologue, 1 minute song required
4th-5th: 1 minute song required, monologue optional.
If students do not come prepared with one or the other, they may only be considered for the ensemble. Refer to our Audition Tips for additional information.

Everyone must participate in an acting/singing AND a dance on November 16.

FEE AND REQUIREMENTS

$190 through November 2, 2026. $230 starting November 3, 2026.
Families are required to work a minimum of 30-35 hours as well as help with their actor’s costume.

Limited buy out option without parent hours at $940 through November 2, 2026. $980 beginning November 3, 2026.

All families are required to participate in strike and attend family meetings, regardless of buyouts.

SYNOPSIS

It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the “status quo,” Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

CHORUS – K to 3

Open to Roy Cloud School students K to 3.

The Preshow Chorus will perform two numbers at the beginning of the show which includes singing, some dancing and light costuming. The numbers will be of a similar nature to High School Musical JR. songs but will not be from High School Musical JR. No prior experience required. No audition required.

Kindergarteners must be picked up and brought to practice at 2:25 by their parent or guardian on Wednesdays unless they attend Kids Corner, as no supervision is available before rehearsal.
